The project
PPG Paints had a paid partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and this video was part of it. It features Colby, a former Penguins player. GH Advertising hired us to make it for PPG.
What we did
We directed, shot and edited the piece, then finished the color, sound and graphics.
Why it works
A sponsorship only pays off when fans notice it. Putting a player they already know in front of the camera turns a logo on the boards into a story Penguins fans will stop and watch, and it gives the brand sports content it can use across social media. For a Pittsburgh company, there aren’t many better ways to show up in front of the city.
