RiverLife

RiverLife and the Army Corps of Engineers

Nonprofit documentary video about RiverLife's work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Pittsburgh's riverfront. Edited with motion graphics by Two Horn for Uppercut Studios.

The project

RiverLife works on Pittsburgh’s riverfront, and this short documentary covers its work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Uppercut Studios produced it and brought us in for post-production. Phil Atkins was the cinematographer.

What we did

PJ Horn edited the film and Chelsea Horn created the motion graphics.

Why it works

Riverfront projects take years and involve a lot of partners, which is hard to explain in a press release. A nonprofit video lets people see the river, hear from the people doing the work and follow what’s changing. Motion graphics carry the maps and details that would otherwise need a page of text, so donors, partners and residents get the whole picture in a few minutes.

Need a documentary video like this?

Commercials, brand films and the stuff companies actually need. We plan it, light it, shoot it and cut it. Two people who have done this for fifteen years, plus a crew we trust when the job gets bigger.
